Aidan's School Art

I've always known that Aidan is very imaginative and that he likes to express himself through art. To prove this, my refrigerator door is 2 inches thick in paper :) Here are a few of the things he's been doing at school in his art class.

A day at the park

Today was the first day in a long time that we have been able to go to the park. OH HAPPY DAY! It was beautiful and warm and the boys had a blast playing on the swings and slides and, oddly enough, mostly ignored the mud.

My little bookworms

Yay, my kids are turning into bookworms! Well, Gavin has always been a book worm and will entertain himself for quite awhile with books. This comes in very handy on Saturday mornings when we want to sleep in past 6:30 :) Aidan is slowly becoming more and more interested in reading, and will even "read" to Gavin for me.

Snow days

After almost two weeks of no school due to snow, we got a little stir crazy. This is the result.

Trick-or-Treat

Aidan wanted to be a storm trooper, but as soon as we got to the store, he found this Wolverine costume. This is not unusual, as Aidan has, in the past, had 2 or 3 costumes for Halloween. (Only because EVERYONE buys him one) This was Gavin's first year to dress up, and he loved his Dragon costume. He wore it several times before the actual event, and I see potential for hours of costume play for both of them.

On the steps at the library
Wolverine and the PunkRock Vampire, aka, Aidan and Duncan. I taught Aidan the saying "Trick-or-Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat" which absolutely cracked these two up. Aidan swore he was going to say it to everyone, but of course that only lasted for a few houses.

This cute little girl had the most awesome pink flamingo costume. I had to take a picture!

A little fall fun

It's that time of year again, the time when Aidan and Gavin get out the rakes and dive into the leaf pile(s). This year, Gavin started the fun while Aidan was at school, but he was in no way tired of it by the time Aidan got home :)

Ahhh.... there's a zombie buried in our yard!
Showing Gavin how to use a "lightsaber" Jedi master style. And boy, did this lesson catch on. Now, every time they are outside, Gavin copies every move Aidan makes, so it looks like little ninjas out there swinging there sticks.

Ok, I'll start the leaf pile.

Here we go!

Hiking in our back yard with Daddy. We are really going to miss this once we move :(
